In June of 2019 I attended an SCBWI Illustrator Intensive with Simon & Schuster art director Laurent Linn and illustrator Brian Floca. We were instructed to create a short series of sequential, wordless narrative illustrations showing how we'd interpret one of three prompts. I chose the prompt "Left all alone". After receiving helpful feedback in the workshop, I revised my sketches and took the illustrations to final color. It was a great exercise in page turns and choosing the right moment to illustrate, and I learned so much during the process. Enjoy!
